Carlos Abadi is a New York investment banker who focuses his talent especially on Latin American countries like Ecuador. He resides on the boards of two important entities, while serving as president of Abadi & Co.

Carlos Abadi comes from a long line of philanthropists and continues this family tradition by supporting charities important to him and being active in his synagogue and community.

Carlos Abadi: the financier

Carlos Abadi is currently the president of the renowned international financial firm Abadi & Co. This financial firm specializes in emerging markets and is firmly established in the financial market as one of the oldest financial companies that is still in operation.

In addition to serving as Chairman of Abadi & Co., he is on the Board of Directors of the Refco Litigation Trust, where he plays an active role as an important member of the board of directors. Carlos Abadi also dedicates his time to Roubini Global Economics (RGE) as a member of its Board.

Carlos Abadi: the philanthropist

In addition to his demanding job and his responsibilities as members of the boards of directors of RGE and Refco Litigation Trust, Carlos Abadi is actively involved in the betterment of his community. He is a proud and devoted member of the Central Synagogue congregation in Manhattan. He also regularly collaborates as a volunteer in the Central Synagogue’s social action committee.

When you don’t volunteer for the Central Synagogue, you help financially support the Inwood House in New York City. The Inwood House dedicates its time and money to New York’s pockets affected by poverty, as well as helping those facing teenage pregnancy.

Carlos Abadi: following a long line of good works

He is not the first in his family to devote much of his time, energy and money to philanthropic causes. Abbeys are known for their generosity and academic achievement. MoussaAbadi is his great-uncle and a WWII French Resistance hero due to his efforts that successfully saved Jewish children from the evils of German concentration camps through the Abadi Network, which MoussaAbadi is credited with as co -founder.

Helen Solterer, a professor at Duke University, delivers a lecture entitled “The Passion of MoussaAbadi: Medieval Theater, Hiding Jewish Children, Paris 1933-Nice 1943.” To help her deliver this fascinating lecture, she donated important historical artifacts that directly relate to MoussaAbadi’s accomplishments through the Abadi Network during WWII.

Other well-known abbeys include Martin Abadi, hiss cousin, who wrote A Theory of Objects and is a computer science professor. Marcelo Abadi, Carlos Abadi’s uncle, is an internationally renowned literary critic. Marcelo Abadi is also known for writing about Spinoza and Borges.

He truly lives up to his family history by spreading the word about his ancestors’ important accomplishments, as well as dedicating much of his time and energy to helping people. Abadi & Co. must continue to prosper with him at the helm, and his community will continue to benefit from his financial knowledge and his desire to improve the lives of others.
